  Pros: Nice tile and selection
  Cons: Expensive, Bad Communication, Uneven Competence of Staff
  
  I had a pretty sub-par experience purchasing from Ideal Tile of Flemington. I have to give them credit, since I was a challenging customer: I came in needing tile on a tight schedule. However, having been given assurances by them that they would meet my schedule, I purchased tile from them and scheduled the rest of my crew around it. Ultimately, the tile that I was told would be ready for pickup between 9 and 9:30AM wasn't available until 12PM, which really messed with my schedule.
  
  What made everything much, much worse was the utter lack of communication throughout the whole process. When I first called the store to check on the order, at 9AM when it was promised, this is the exact response I got from the guy at the store: "Funny situation. I was actually behind when he told you 9AM, and I didn't know why he said that because we never have orders in store before 10:30 because the warehouse opens at 9."
  
  In the subsequent hours I had to call 4 times just to understand the status of my order, since every time I called I was given only the vaguest of information, without even rough timing estimates. And, each time I would be promised a callback on a subsequent event, which I never got.
  
  Also, my contractor friends have made it clear that Ideal's prices are extremely high compared to outlets that cater to the trades.
  
  While I can imagine customers with a more reasonable schedule than mine having a far better experience with Ideal, I will not do business with them again. Even if price were not to be the determining factor, I cannot cater to a business that both fails to meet its commitments and fails to offer even the slightest attempt to acknowledge or correct issues.
